We provide thorough Asbestos building inspections and Asbestos testing services with our State Certified AHERA Building Inspectors and State Certified Laboratory. Our AHERA Building Inspections are carried out by highly experienced EPA and WA State certified inspectors.
We have Three (3) Types of Asbestos Inspections Available:
Type 1 - Asbestos Inspection = Location & Assessment The purpose of a Type 1 inspection is primarily a visual inspection to locate, as far as reasonably practical, any suspected Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in the building and assess the risk. All areas must be accessed and inspected (including: above false ceilings, roof voids, inside risers, service ducts, lift shafts etc.) or they will be presumed to contain Asbestos.
Type 2 - Asbestos Inspection = Standard Sampling, Identification & Assessment This inspection includes the visual inspections as in the Type 1 Asbestos Inspection (noted above) but will also include sampling and labratory analysis for the presence of Asbestos. Samples from each suspected (ACM) are collected, bagged and analysed to positively identify Asbestos materials.
Type 3 - Asbestos Inspection = Full Access Sampling & Identification & Assessment The most comprehensive. We will endeavour to locate all (ACM), including, as necessary, destruction of and/or removing interior and exterior building materials in order to expose potential problem areas hidden from view to gain access to all areas. During this inspection, while (ACM) is identified we also provide an estimate of their volume and surface area. This survey is designed to be used as a basis for tendering the removal of (ACM) from the building prioier to demolition or major refurbishment.
